These Are Pope Francis' Celebrations in January and February 2024

On the morning of Tuesday, January 9, the Holy See Press Office released Pope Francis' schedule for January and February 2024.

The first event will take place on January 21 at 9:30 AM (Rome time) in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, where the Holy Father will preside over a Holy Mass on the occasion of the Sunday of the Word of God.

The last Mass celebrated by the Pontiff in this first month of the year will be on January 25 at 5:30 PM on the Solemnity of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. The Holy Father will pray the first vespers at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.

On February 2, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, Pope Francis will celebrate a Holy Mass in the Vatican basilica at 5:30 PM, as part of the 28th World Day for Consecrated Life.

Later, on February 11 at 9:30 AM in St. Peter's Basilica, the canonization presided over by the Holy Father of the blessed "Mama Antula" will take place, making her the first saint of Argentina.

On February 14, Ash Wednesday, Pope Francis will begin Lent with the celebration of the penitential procession at the Church of San Anselmo at 4:30 PM. Subsequently, at 5:00 PM in the Basilica of Santa Sabina, the Pontiff will preside over the Holy Mass with the blessing and imposition of ashes.
